新型重吊船加入United Heavy Lift 船队

    沪东中华向德国多用途航运公司United Heavy Lift(UHL)交付了一艘新的F900 Eco-Lifter型多用途重吊船,该船首航将从韩国出发,途经日本、越南,于今年6月到达印尼。此船采用了高低压选择性催化还原技术(SCR),最大程度地减少碳排放,以满足IMO Tier III的相关要求。

    German multipurpose shipping company United Heavy Lift (UHL) has taken delivery of the newly built F900 Eco-Lifter vessel MV UHL Felicity at the CSSC Hudong shipyard in China.The vessel will embark on its maiden voyage from South Korea to Indonesia via Japan and Vietnam. It is expected to arrive at its destination in June 2022. As reported, the new enhanced units will come with minimised CO2 emissions and will feature high- and low-pressure SCR catalysts to meet International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Tier III requirements.

    McDermott旗下的CB&I公司与韩国天然气公司(KOGAS)签署了一份谅解备忘录,双方将共同开发液氢在陆地及船上的规模化存储技术,以支持韩国政府提出的氢经济路线图。为此,CB&I将专门设计并建造了能够在零下423华氏度(零下253摄氏度)温度下存储液态氢的压力球罐,扩大液氢存储能力的阈值。

    McDermott’s storage business CB&I and Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore the development of large-scale liquid hydrogen storage to support Korea’s Hydrogen Economy Roadmap.In 2021, South Korea announced plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 by replacing coal-fired power generation with renewable sources and internal combustion engine vehicles with hydrogen-powered vehicles. At the same time, CB&I specializes in designing and building field-erected pressure spheres capable of storing liquid hydrogen at temperatures of minus 423 degrees Fahrenheit(minus 253 degrees Celsius).With ongoing research and development efforts well underway to scale up capacity thresholds for liquid hydrogen storage, CB&I joins KOGAS in setting the pace for the rapid development of a large-scale hydrogen economy for South Korea.

Spheres源自于拉丁语名词sphaera,意为“球”。而Pressure Spheres直译为“加压的球体”,意译为“压力球罐”,多指一种钢制压力容器设备,用于贮存液态或气态物料。在相同直径和压力下,球形储罐的壁壳厚度仅为圆筒形储罐的一半,具有制造成本低、占地面积小等优点。

Tips:低温液态储氢是先将氢气液化,然后储存在低温绝热容器中,从储能密度上考虑,是一种十分理想的方式。但因为液氢的沸点极低,与环境温差极大,对容器的绝热要求很高,且液化过程耗能极大,所以在大量、远距离的储运中采用低温液态方式才可能体现出其优势。

Singapore Appoints Youth Ambassadors to Promote Maritime

    新加坡新任命了18位海事青年大使,希望通过他们的宣传,让更多的青年学生了解航运业,投身航运业。这项名为MaritimeSG的青年大使计划由新加坡海事及港务管理局发起,旨在吸引优秀青年关注并参与到航运业的发展中,为新加坡航运业人才的可持续性发展赋能。未来几年,航运业将在绿色脱碳、性别平等、数字化转型等方面继续努力,跨学科、复合型人才的加入将更好地服务于该行业的建设发展。

    Singapore has appointed 18 maritime youth ambassadors to champion the industry among students looking to make career choices.The MaritimeSG youth ambassadors compromise students from local institutes of higher learning and are designed to increase awareness of the maritime industries through youth advocacy. The 18 ambassadors were chosen from over 40 applications. This programme supports Singapore’s efforts to grow a sustainable pipeline of future talent by facilitating youth-to-youth engagement on developments in the maritime industry. The maritime industry has been and will be making rapid changes in the next few years in terms of gender equality, digitalisation, and decarbonisation. Problems of the future will be solved by multi and inter disciplinary thinkers.

    5月26日,日本拖船服务提供商——东京汽船在神奈川造船厂为新型电动拖船Taiga举行了命名和下水仪式。该船长36米,配备了一套由大容量锂离子电池和柴油发动机组成的电力推进系统。Taiga是一艘生态友好型船舶,实现了二氧化碳、氮氧化物、硫氧化物和颗粒物(PM)的低/零排放,同时也是一艘船员友好型船舶,它减少了作业中的噪音和振动,改善了船员的工作环境。

    On 26 May, Japanese tugboat services provider Tokyo Kisen held a naming and launching ceremony of the electric tugboat Taiga, currently under construction at Kanagawa Dockyard.The 36-metre-long Taiga is powered by an electric propulsion system that combines large-capacity lithium-ion batteries developed by Japanese shipping consortium e5 Lab and a diesel engine.It is an eco-ship designed to protect the environment in areas surrounding the ports of Yokohama and Kawasaki, and also a crew-friendly tugboat, not only achieving low/zero emissions of CO2, NOx, SOx, and particulate matter (PM) from the vessel but also reducing noise and vibration for an improved working environment.

Tug意思为“吃力地拉、拖”,与平常所说的Pull(v.拉;拖)有细微的区别。

Tips:Tugboat非常形象地表达了拖船的作用,即使用大功率的发动机来拖拽大型船只进出港。同时,根据使用地区的不同,拖船也可以分为远洋拖船、内河拖船、沿海拖船、港内拖船、海洋救援拖船等种类。但因为拖船的主机功率大,作业过程中常常伴随着大量的污染物排放。
