商船三井的船舶网络设计获船级社原则性批准

MOL becomes world’s first company to earn AiP for vessel cyber resilience

日本商船三井(MOL)宣布,其开发和演示的具有网络弹性措施的船舶网络基本设计获得了法国船级社(BV)的原则性批准(AiP)。其船舶网络基本设计符合国际船级社协会(IACS)发布的网络安全统一要求UR E26关于“船舶网络弹性(Cyber resilience of ships)”规定。商船三井也成为了世界上第一家获得UR E26原则性批准的公司。UR E26是一项强制性要求,适用于在2024年1月1日或之后签订建造合同的船舶,旨在确保从设计到使用寿命期间,将可操作的船用设备和IT相关设备(例如船载PC)安全地集成到船舶网络中。UR E26 规定船舶设备制造商、造船厂、船东和其他相关方应从各自的角度出发,在设计、开发、实施和运营的每个阶段采取适当的网络弹性措施。

TOKYO-Mitsui O.S.K Lines, Ltd.(MOL) announced that it has obtained Approval in Principle (AiP) from Bureau Veritas, for the basic design of a ship network with cyber resilience measures developed and demonstrated by MOL, in compliance with the Unified Requirement (UR) E26 “Cyber resilience of ships” issued by the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS). MOL is the first company in the world to receive an AiP for UR E26. UR E26 is a mandatory requirement covering vessels for which construction contracts are signed on or after January 1, 2024. It aims to ensure the secure integration of both operational marine equipment and IT-related equipment such as onboard PCs into the vessel’s network from the design through its operational life. UR E26 stipulates that ship equipment manufacturers, shipyards, shipowners, and other parties involved should incorporate appropriate cyber resilience measures at each stage of design, development, implementation, and operation from their own standpoint.

Germany-headquartered Subsea Europe Services (SES) has opened a new research and development (R&D) center dedicated to the development of new integrated, autonomous and digital technologies. The new facility, located at the company’s premises in the Ocean Technology Campus Rostock, will focus on the development of new autonomous surface and underwater solutions, as well as the digitalization of marine data. It measures 100 m and will be used for further development of autonomous platform capabilities for marine surveys with the Autonomous Surveyor autonomous surface vessel (ASV) and underwater inspection, with the A.IKANBILIS hovering autonomous underwater vehicle (HAUV).The company’s R&D team will also focus on creating new application-specific AI-powered autonomous control systems and unlocking the potential of swarm surveys featuring multiple autonomous vehicles with crewed or uncrewed motherships capable of managing the entire operation.

绿色船用燃料甲醇是否具备市场潜力?

船舶经纪公司吉布森在其最新周报中表示:过去几年,使用甲醇燃料的新船订单量有所增加,特别是在集装箱船领域。马士基航运已经陆续订造了19艘甲醇动力集装箱船,其他集装箱航运公司也订造了30多艘。由煤炭和天然气生产的灰色甲醇供应充足,但其全生命周期的二氧化碳排放量并未显著减少。相比之下,使用蓝氢及碳捕获和储存(CCS)生产的蓝色甲醇可大幅减少排放。目前,蓝色和绿色甲醇的供应量稀少,2022年不到50万吨,且生产成本较高。根据甲醇研究所对现有和计划项目的统计,到2027年,可再生甲醇年产量将增加到800万吨以上。

The past couple of years have marked an increase in orders of methanol-fueled vessels, particularly in the container segment. AP Moller Maersk is a clear pioneer and a front runner, having ordered 19 container vessels capable of running on methanol, whilst over 30 vessels have been ordered by other prominent container lines. Brown methanol produced from coal and grey methanol produced from gas are both in abundant supply, but they do not offer significant reduction in well-to-wake carbon dioxide emissions. In contrast, blue methanol, produced by using blue hydrogen together with carbon capture and storage (CCS), offers a sizable reduction in emissions;The availability of blue and green methanol is scarce (estimated at less than 0.5 mln t/y in 2022), whilst production costs are high. According to a count of existing and planned projects by Methanol institute, renewable methanol production could increase to over 8 mln t/y by 2027.

法国船东为旗下中程油船安装旋翼帆

Socatra chooses Norsepower sails for MR tanker

法国船东Socatra签署了一份合同,为其5万载重吨的中型(MR)成品油船“Alcyone”号安装挪世航力公司的旋翼帆( Norsepower Rotor Sails™️)风力辅助推进系统。这艘建造于2022年的油船由道达尔能源公司租用,完成改造后它将拥有两桅35米 x 5 米的筒转帆。这项技术可以使韩国-法属波利尼西亚航线的平均油耗和碳排放量减少8%,Socatra公司表示,通过使用航程优化技术还可以进一步节省成本。道达尔能源公司航运高级副总裁杰罗姆·库辛(Jérome Cousin)透露,该项目的成功可能会引导能源公司更广泛地采用风力辅助推进技术。

Socatra has signed a contract for Norsepower Rotor Sail™️ installations on board its 50,000dwt medium-range (MR) product tanker, Alcyone. The 2022-built tanker, on charter to TotalEnergies, is to have two 35m x 5m rotor sails supplied by Norsepower. Average fuel and emission savings of 8% are likely as the ship sails between South Korea and French Polynesia. Further savings are possible by using voyage optimisation technology, the company said. Speaking for the charterer, TotalEnergies’ SVP, Shipping, Jérome Cousin, revealed that the success of the project could lead to broader adoption of wind-assisted propulsion by the energy company.

Tips:旋翼帆也被称为旋筒风帆、Flettner旋筒,指在船舶甲板上设置垂直圆柱,通过航行过程中圆筒随风旋转的力量,利用可再生的风能为船舶航行提供动力的装置。目前全球约有18艘船舶部署了该系统。在小型船舶上安装旋翼帆,通过先进的计算机控制技术能够节省4.5%-25%的燃料,而利用风力推进技术与航线优化相结合的解决方案,能为大型船舶节省15-40%的燃料。
