中国造船企业沪东中华造船有限公司为地中海航运公司(MSC)建造的24116 TEU超大型集装箱船系列船的首制船——“地中海 泰萨”(MSC TESSA)号已于近日交付。据悉,这是目前全球完工交付的最大级别集装箱船,打破了去年6月交付的超大型集装箱船“长益”(Ever Alot)号24000TEU的装箱量。该船总长399.99米,比目前世界最大航母还要长60多米;型宽61.5米,甲板面积近似于4个标准足球场;型深33.2米,最大堆箱层数可达25层,相当于22层楼的高度,可承载24万多吨货物。“泰萨”号首次采用了气泡减阻系统,不仅能有效降低船舶总能耗,而且还能减少相应总量3%-4%的碳排放。此外,该船还配备了混合式Scrubber脱硫装置,以及独有的小球鼻艏、大直径螺旋桨和节能导管等装置。

Chinese shipbuilder Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has delivered the giant 24,116 TEU container ship MSC Tessa to its owner Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). The shipyard said that the vessel is actually the largest vessel delivered so far, breaking the record of Ever Alot which was handed over in June last year. With a total length of 399.99 meters, it is 60 meters longer than the world's largest aircraft carrier. The width is 61.5 meters, and the deck area is similar to 4 football fields. The depth is 33.2 meters, and the maximum stack of container layers can reach 25 floors, which can reach the height of a 22-story house. It can carry more than 240,000 tons of cargo. This ship uses air lubrication which reduces the total energy consumption and the corresponding total carbon emissions by 3% to 4%. At the same time, it comes equipped with a hybrid scrubber, small bulbous bow, large diameter propellers, and energy-saving ducts.

A consortium led by UK-based chemicals company INEOS is claiming the world’s first injection of captured carbon dioxide into a depleted oil field in the Danish North Sea. The initiative, called Project Greensand, is the first venture to achieve cross-border carbon capture and storage (CCS), and is aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of CCS to reduce carbon emissions in the fight against climate change. The carbon dioxide was captured at an INEOS site in Belgium, tranformed into liquid form, and successfully transported to the Danish North Sea for permanent storage at the INEOS-operated Nini field at a depth of around 1,800 meters below the seabed. By 2030, Project Greensand aims to store up to 8 million tonnes of CO2 per year in this area while continuing to make significant contributions to understanding and growth of carbon storage technology. "It is the first time that carbon dioxide has been successfully captured, transported cross-border and safely stored offshore anywhere in the world," said Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the chairman of INEOS.

新加坡推动港口船舶完全电动化

为达到2050年净零排放的目标,新加坡海事及港务管理局(MPA)发表声明:从2030年开始,所有新加坡港新服役的港口船舶必须完全电动化,或能够由B100生物燃料、氢等净零燃料驱动。完全电动化不仅能降低排放,还可以减少船舶维护次数、提高能源效率、降低噪音污染。MPA决定,在接下里的两年时间里,将共同资助其联盟成员开发全电动船舶。由吉宝岸外与海事(Keppel Offshore & Marine)开发的全电动渡轮,以及由新加坡船舶设计公司Seatech Solutions牵头打造的、采用换电技术的全电轻驳船等试点项目,计划于今年晚些时候启动。

In line with its decarbonization efforts, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) is mandating for all harbor craft to become fully electric, capable of using B100 biofuels or be compatible with net zero fuels such as hydrogen by 2030. In addition to slashing emissions, switching from diesel engines to batteries brings multiple benefits including less maintenance, greater energy efficiency, and less noise pollution. The MPA has co-funded consortia members to develop full-electric vessels by 2025, with pilots for a full-electric ferry by the Keppel Offshore & Marine Consortium, and full-electric lighter craft with battery swapping technology by the ‘Goal Zero’ Consortium led by SeaTech Solutions Singapore and partners like Yinson GreenTech and Lita Ocean, to be trialed later this year.

全球航运商业网络(GSBN)宣布,与中远海运集装箱运输有限公司(中远海运,COSCO)、东方海外货柜航运有限公司(东方海外,OOCL)和上海化工院检测有限公司(上化检,SICIT)合作,利用区块链技术提高化工货物运输的安全性。四家公司联合托运方、电器制造商美的集团,实现了利用区块链技术加强航运安全的首个行业概念验证。通过GSBN区块链平台,可设立一个全新的证书鉴定流程,以确保从源头上验证安全运输证书并保证其内容的准确和可靠。这将减少人为错误,提高货物运输安全性并加快整体流程,也便于存储在区块链上的鉴定证书在多方之间进行流转,更有助在未来进一步实现自动化验证。

Global Shipping Business Network (GSBN) has announced a collaboration with COSCO Shipping Lines (COSCO), Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), and the Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry Testing Co., Ltd (SICIT) in harnessing blockchain technology. The four companies have leveraged blockchain technology with shipper and electrical appliances manufacturer, Midea, to achieve an industry first proof-of-concept that helps enhance transportation safety in the shipping industry. A new streamlined process has been designed, by harnessing GSBN’s blockchain-enabled platform, to ensure that safe chemical transportation certificates and the information they contain can be verified from the original source, and that the information is accurate and reliable, according to GSBN. This is anticipated to reduce human error, enhance security of the cargo, and accelerate the process overall. It is also expected to facilitate the advancement in automated verification in the future, as well as the circulation of reliable certificate data stored on the blockchain among multiple parties.
