ONE orders 10 ammonia and methanol ready container vessels

近日,日本海洋网联船务有限公司(ONE)宣布再订购10艘13700TEU大型集装箱船,预计在2025年至2026年间交付。最新订购的这批船舶将采用甲醇燃料和氨燃料的预留设计,还将配备多种节能装置,包括在船艏安装能够减少风阻的导风装置“bow cover”等。此外,ONE已开始与造船厂和设备制造商讨论安装船载碳捕集与储存设备的可行性。继去年5月订造10艘13000TEU集装箱船后,这个新订单再次印证了ONE于2022年3月公布的中期战略——通过部署新的、最先进的集装箱船,摆脱集装箱市场短期波动的限制,不断加强其船队竞争力,以满足客户对高效、可靠供应链的需求。

Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd (ONE) announces that it has ordered 10 large new container vessels with a carrying capacity of over 13,700 TEU to be delivered in 2025 and 2026. The 10 new vessels will be ready for Methanol and Ammonia and equipped with a bow cover and other energy saving technologies. ONE has also started discussions with the shipyard and equipment manufacturers to implement onboard carbon capture and storage on delivery. This new order is in line with the company’s medium-term strategy announced in March 2022 and follows the 10 vessels ordered in May. By ensuring a stable deployment of new, state-of-the-art container vessels without constrained by short-term fluctuations in the container market, the company aims to strengthen its fleet competitiveness and meet customer demand for building and maintaining an efficient and reliable supply chain.

和记港口投资埃及两大港口

香港和记港口透露,他们将对埃及主要港口苏科纳港和亚历山大港的全新集装箱码头B100进行投资,两个项目投资金额共计约7亿美元。和记港口将与法国达飞海运集团(CMA-CGM)和中远海运港口(CSPL)合作,在苏科纳港口建设一个新的集装箱码头;同时,和记还与地中海航运公司(MSC)合作开发亚历山大港附近的狄克拉港,这两项交易的价值将达到16亿美元。由于地处红海的战略要地,苏科纳的新集装箱码头可直接通往世界各主要航线,能够大大促进埃及的海上贸易。另一方面,B100集装箱码头将成为通往亚历山大港的新门户。亚历山大港是地中海最大的港口之一,也是欧洲、亚洲及非洲海上贸易的重要枢纽。

Hutchison Ports, a global port operator, has revealed $700 million investments in two major projects in Egypt – Ain Sokhna Port and B100, a new container terminal in the Port of Alexandria. Hutchinson will partner with CMA CGM, and COSCO Shipping on a new terminal at Sokhna Port, while Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is set to join Hutchison on the development of a terminal at Dekheila near Alexandria, pushing the two deals up to $1.6 billion in value. The new container terminal in Sokhna is expected to provide a significant boost to Egypt’s maritime trade, as it is strategically located on the Red Sea and offers direct access to major shipping routes. The B100 container terminal, on the other hand, will provide a new gateway to the Port of Alexandria, which is one of the largest ports in the Mediterranean and a key hub for trade between Europe, Asia, and Africa.

美公司计划于今年推出世界首艘氨动力船

The Amogy Inc, the pioneer of emission-free, is currently retrofitting a tugboat that was originally built in 1957, that uses diesel generators and electric motors, with its ammonia-to-power system. It will be outfitted with a 1-megawatt version of the unique system, three times larger than what has been field-tested on Amogy's ammonia-fueled semi truck earlier this year. Amogy's highly-efficient ammonia-to-power technology feeds liquid ammonia through its cracking modules integrated into a hybrid fuel cell system, which powers the electric motors for zero-carbon shipping. The company look forward to presenting the first ammonia-powered ship in 2023, with a target to fully commercialize in 2024, according to Amogy.

安装洗涤塔的船舶占比继续上升

“Scrubbers were installed on 399 ships in 2022, a fall of 24% y/y, and currently 13% of bulker, container, and tanker ships have a scrubber installed. Despite the slowing rate of installations, the share of ships with a scrubber is set to increase in coming years as 17% of ships in the shipyards’ order books are expected to have a scrubber installed,” says Niels Rasmussen, Chief Shipping Analyst at BIMCO. In fact, the average dry bulk, container, and tanker ship with a scrubber has a deadweight capacity of 140,845 tonnes whereas those without have an average of 51,743 deadweight tonnes. Therefore, the 13% of the dry bulk, container, and tanker ships with scrubbers represents 29% of the deadweight capacity. The crude tanker fleet has the highest installation rate with 32% of the ships and 38% of the deadweight capacity having scrubbers installed. “In the long term, the use of scrubbers to cut sulphur emissions may reduce as decarbonisation efforts will increase the use of alternative fuels that are sulphur compliant,” says Rasmussen.
