中远海运发展700TEU纯电动集装箱船顺利下水

7月26日,中远海运发展股份有限公司的700 TEU纯电动力系列集装箱船首制船(N997),在扬州中远海运重工1号船坞顺利下水。据了解,这是世界上第一艘大型纯电池动力集装箱船,每行驶100海里可节约燃油3.9吨,减少二氧化碳排放12.4吨,节约能耗费用约3.35万元。该船总长119.8米,型宽23.6米,能配装36个可更换的船用集装箱式电池,相当于800多辆新能源汽车的载电量。中远集团表示,700TEU电动集装箱船顺利下水,标志着纯电池动力船舶在内河领域应用的一次重要突破。此外,中远海运发展的第二艘700TEU电动集装箱船(N998)已于今年5月进坞搭建。

On July 26th, COSCO Shipping Development’s 700 TEU electric container vessel (N997) has been launched at COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Yangzhou). It is reported that the 700 TEU electric container ship is the world’s first large all-battery container ship, which can save 3900kg of fuel per 100 nautical miles so as to have reduced 12.4 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and saved approximately 33500 yuan in energy costs. The ship has a length of 119.8 meters and a width of 23.6 meters, equipped with 36 replaceable container batteries as power sources, equivalent to the carrying capacity of over 800 new energy vehicles. COSCO says the launch marks a significant advancement in the adoption of fully battery-powered vessels in inland waterways. The company has started constructing the second 700 TEU electric container vessel (N998) in May 2023.

根据国际干散货船东协会(INTERCARGO)于近日发布的数据报告,在2013年至2023年的十年间,共发生了26起散货船全损事故,造成104名船员遇难,其中超三分之二的船员死于货物流态化引发的事故。报告统计了载重吨(DWT)在10,000以上的散货船,数据显示,十年间全球散货船数量增加了30%,达到13,000艘。但与此同时,发生船损的散货船数量呈明显的下降趋势,这表明散货船的安全状况得到改善。货物流态化、船舶搁浅是造成散货船船员伤亡和船舶损失的主要原因,因此,INTERCARGO仍发出警告,希望业界能够提高防范、化解这类风险的能力。在5起由货物流态化引发的船员伤亡事故中,有4起运载的是镍矿石,另外1起则为铝土矿。这5起事故共导致70名海员丧生,占过去十年总伤亡人数的67.3%。

More than two-thirds of the 104 seafarers who perished in the 26 bulk carriers lost at sea in the ten years since 2013 died as a result of cargo liquefaction, according to statistics just released by the International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners (Intercargo). The statistics, which apply to ships of more than 10,000 dwt, show that despite a 30% increase in the number of bulk carriers to about 13,000 over the period, a broad trend of improving safety and reducing ship losses is evident. But more needs to be done to guard against the risk of cargo liquefaction and groundings, the two main causes of ship losses, Intercargo declared. Four of the five bulk carriers lost as a result of liquefaction were carrying nickel ore; one had a cargo of bauxite. Yet these five ships accounted for 70 lost lives - 67.3% of the total.

根据克拉克森(Clarksons)发布的最新数据,按总吨位(GT)计算,利比里亚已超越巴拿马成为全球最大的船旗国。数据显示,在利比里亚船旗下注册船队规模(按总吨计)今年增长了5.6%,达到2.465亿总吨,而巴拿马同期仅增长2.3%,目前注册船舶总吨为2.443亿。这是30年来巴拿马首次“跌位”。然而,就船舶数量而言,巴拿马保持着超利比里亚3200多艘船舶的领先优势,悬挂巴拿马船旗的船队规模仍是迄今为止最大的。据悉,1949年,利比里亚成为国际海事组织(IMO)的创始成员国之一,多年来在海上安全和环境保护方面发挥了关键作用。

Liberia has replaced the Panama in terms of gross tonnage to become the world’s largest flag in new data issued by Clarksons Research. Liberia flag’ gross tonnage has increased by 5.6% so far this year to 246.5 million, while Panama's gross tonnage has only increased by 2.3% during the same period, with 244.3 million currently registered, according to Clarksons. For the first time in 30 years Panama is no longer the world’s largest ship registry. In terms of the number of ships on their books, The Panama Ship Registry remains the largest in the world, retaining a healthy lead of more than 3,200 ships. In 1949, Liberia became a founding member of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and has over the years played a critical role in promulgating maritime safety, security and environmental protection.



商船三井开发纯水制氢技术,推动零排放船舶发展

MOL advances Wind Hunter project with purified water production system for hydrogen generation

日本大型海运公司商船三井(MOL)目前正在推进其零排放船舶研发项目——“Wind Hunter”。该项目旨在利用海上风能,在船上生产绿氢,为船舶的氢燃料电池提供原料,推动船舶前进。MOL透露,海水电解制氢离不开高纯度的水,所以在制氢时首先要对海水进行净化,净化的第一步就是使用过滤器去除水中杂质。但他们之前所使用的过滤器需要频繁地更换,这不仅增加了船员的工作量,还带来了巨大的成本负担。于是,MOL与大洋产业株式会社和日本九州大学教授合作,力图开发一种持久、耐用甚至能除菌的高性能过滤器。MOL表示,这一项目未来还需要大量先进的技术,以支持他们开发用于制氢的纯净水生产系统。

Japanese shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) is advancing its zero-emission ship project called Wind Hunter, which aims to harness offshore wind energy to produce hydrogen from water onboard and convert it into propulsion for vessels. Hydrogen production requires a high level of water purity and during the Wind Hunter hydrogen production process, seawater is first purified by passing it through a filter to remove impurities but the filters currently used require frequent replacement, which increases the workload of crewmembers and imposes a significant cost burden, MOL explains. The shipping company has teamed up with Kyushu University Professor Takeshi Shinoda and Taiyo Sangyo Co., Ltd. to develop long-lasting, durable, and high-performance filters that will be able to remove even bacteria, which will require even more advanced technology in the future, and to manufacture a pure water production system.
